Are you keen to improve your English and enhance your study skills? This Intermediate Level English course aims to improve your language skills while engaging with academic content, such as, extracts from lectures, student presentations, and seminar discussions. The key areas of focus are reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, enabling you to express yourself effectively. You will engage in activity-based learning where you can apply your improved language skills to practice communication, critical thinking, and creativity. The course is aligned with the level ‘independent user - threshold´ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR or GeRS).
 

Course Objectives:
 

• Communicate more confidently and effectively in English
• Develop critical thinking skills and analyze contemporary issues
• Apply language skills to real-life situations and their chosen studies
• Acquire academic skills, such as note-taking, citation and referencing, summarizing and paraphrasing, and avoiding plagiarism
• Understand grammar and its function, and use it more effectively
