BRICKS: First Steps to Intercultural Competence

Workshop with 13 UE, taught in English

You are an international student at the University of Hohenheim and need some help feeling at home in Germany? Then this workshop is for you! It is aimed at international students who want to gain means and ways of how to deal successfully with Germans in everyday situations and who need to familiarize themselves with the specific requirements of intercultural competence based on research. Through role play, group discussions, and real-life examples, you will practice how to handle cultural misunderstandings in Germany. Part of the workshop is also a Campus project and an excursion to the "Haus der Geschichte" in Stuttgart. By the end of the workshop, you will know means and ways how to cope with intercultural conflicts and know more about the German culture as well as your own.
